Summer Vacation

Two weeks down and two more to go!  The boys have been out of school and extra school programs for two weeks now.  I can’t believe it but we continue to remain sane and currently have no severed limbs, broken bones, or contusions.  We had a miraculous day yesterday with no raised voices.  It’s seems as though that was a dream, for today has been filled with cries, whimpers, shouts, time-outs, and the ever present boo-boo (usually self-inflicted).  We have two more weeks together before school begins again.  I sure hope we (more specifically I) make it through with all nerves in tact.

I have signed Tristan up for a swim clinic the week before school.  Although summer has occasionally peeked it’s sunny face at us a few times, I fear that it may be gone for good this year.  Thankfully, Tristan will get a chance to learn how to swim even though the cool, rainy weather has prevented us from lounging by the pool.

As for me, I am finishing up with my third class next week.  I only have 13 more to go!  It’s not exactly the light at the end of the tunnel but it’s better than counting down the years in prison.  Unlike Sam, my brother, I won’t be going to school until eternity.  Thank God for that!  And Sam.  Someone’s got to do it.
